Xi’s Emphasis

*Chairman Xi Jinping emphasized to actively participate in the reform of the World Trade Organization, improve and control high-level opening-up capabilities, further stimulate import potential, relax market access, and promote in-depth development of multilateral and bilateral cooperation to make it more attractive to foreign investment at the eighth collective learning of the World Trade Organization Rules and World Trade Organization Reform.

*Chairman Xi Jinping presided over the meeting to review the comprehensive report on the first round of inspections by the 20th Central Committee, whom emphasized to increase anti-corruption efforts in state-owned enterprises and financial fields, deeply rectify the “four styles”.

 

Industrial Economy

*NDRC and other six departments jointly released the “Management Measures for Power Demand Side (2023 Edition)”, which proposed to encourage key regions and enterprises to increase the proportion of green electricity consumption.

*Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held the work deployment meeting, which emphasized to carefully organize the connection between soybean production and sales,and conduct early research, planning, processing, storage and other policies and measures.

*MoF and SATC jointly issued notice on continue to implement policies to support the development of rural financial enterprises, continue to implement policies on property tax and stamp duty for college students' apartments, and continue to implement value-added tax policies related to second-hand car distribution.

*Ministry of Transport: Promote the opening and innovation of shipping policy systems, achieve comprehensive openness to foreign investment in international shipping and auxiliary industries.

 

Financials

*MoC will focus on promoting service industry opening up and work with relevant departments to deepen research and promote the rational reduction of the negative list of foreign investment in the free trade zone. Promote the introduction of a negative list of cross-border service trade and lead the continuous expansion of national opening up.

* Global crude oil price closed up collectively. November NYMEX crude oil contract up 3.67% to closed at $93.71/b, December Brent contract up 2.02% to closed at $94.30/b. INE crude oil active contract up 2.61% to 712.6 yuan/b.

* Precious metals closed down collectively. COMEX gold active contract down 1.39% and closed at $1893.2/oz. SHFE gold active contract down 1.12% and closed at 463.04 yuan/gram.

* Metals closed down mostly, LME tin down 1.87%, LME lead down 1.62%, LME zinc down 0.72%, LME nickel up 0.92%. SHFE tin down 1.19%, SHFE lead down 0.84%, SHFE zinc down 0.72%.

* Commodity futures closed up mostly. Chemistry and energy products saw strong performance, LPG up 2.36%, EB up 1.79%, fuel oil up 1.67%. Black series closed up collectively, coke up 5.95%, coking coal up 3.99%, iron ore up 1.01%. Agricultural products closed up mostly, RBD palm olein up 1.98%, rapeseed meal up 1.87%, rapeseed oil up 1.54%.
